A Dear ticket number has two parts, printed with a space between them:

- 35H — the series — two digits and a letter. Series letters run A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, K and L; F and I are never used, so a ticket cannot be misread as an E or a 1.
- 48158 — the five-digit ticket number.
Only the 1st prize names one exact ticket, series included. The consolation prize is always that same five-digit number on every other series. The 2nd prize matches the full five digits on any series, and the 3rd, 4th and 5th prizes match only the last four digits on any series — which is why 132 tickets win in every draw and why the checker on this page asks for your last four digits at minimum.
